India’s most favorite OTT platform, Prime Video has released an exciting trailer of its upcoming slice-of-life comedy film Sharmaji Ki Beti. Presented by Applause Entertainment and produced by Ellipsis Entertainment Productions,
the film is written and directed by Tahira Kashyap Khurana and stars Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles, along with Vanshika Taparia, Arista Mehta, Sharib Hashmi and Parveen Dabas also stars in the lead roles.
The film Sharma Ki Ji Beti will be released on Amazon Prime Video on June 28. The film depicts the aspirations, dreams and coming-of-age moments within the story of multiple generations of middle-class women from different families.
The trailer of ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’ showed how three women connect their different lives with each other. Everyone’s surname is ‘Sharma’ but everyone has their own problems. Writer and director of this film Tahira Kashyap Khurana said, ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti is like a dream come true for me. This film is special for me not only because it is my directorial debut.
She also said, ‘This film has given me an opportunity to understand a topic very close to my heart – women empowerment – in a better way. This light-hearted, satirical story presents the everyday struggles, triumphs and diverse experiences of middle-class women. Each character represents a part of my own journey, which makes it very personal.
