Actor-director Deepak Tijori has recently filed a case of cheating against ‘Tipsy’ co-producer Mohan Gopal Nader at the Amboli police station in Mumbai.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by Deepak Tijori on March 15, the 61-year-old claimed that Nadar had cheated him of Rs 2.6 crore.
Mumbai Police told news agency ANI that Tijori was brought on board to co-produce and direct a thriller titled ‘Tipsy’. The film was going to be shot in London in 2019.
However, Tijori claimed that the project was not completed within the stipulated time. Tijori told the police that he had paid Rs 2.60 crore to Nadar, but the accused never returned the money. The complainant also claimed that when Nader asked him to return the money, he continued to evade him on various pretexts.

In its FIR, the Treasury said the checks issued by Nader bounced due to insufficient funds. Because of this, Tijori filed a complaint against Nadar.
ANI reported that the Mumbai Police has registered a case against Nader under Section 420 (distribution of property by fraud and dishonesty) and Section 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code.
Tijori’s directorial journey began in 2003 with ‘Oops!’ From the movie. – Based on the lives of male strippers. He directed projects like the Shilpa Shetty-starrer ‘Fareeb’ (2005), ‘Khamosh… Khauf Ki Raat’ (2005), and ‘Tom, Dick, and Harry’ (2006).
Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ (2016) was Tejori’s last film as a director.
In a career spanning nearly four decades, Tijori has been a part of several critically-acclaimed projects such as ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’ (1991), ‘Sadak’ (1991), ‘Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar’ (1991). 1992), ‘Khiladi’ (1992), ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na’ (1994), ‘Ghulam’ (1998) and ‘Baadshah’ (1999), among others. He was first noticed by director-producer Mahesh Bhatt who offered him the role of the protagonist’s close friend in ‘Aashiqui’ (1990).
Tijori also made her TV debut through the first season of ‘Bigg Boss’ – which aired on November 2006. Later, he produced several TV shows under the banner Tijori Films.
