In January, starrer Amitabh Bachchan announced the release date of Kalki 2898 AD by sharing a new poster of the film.

Kalki 2898 – AD is directed by Nag Ashwin, who is best known for directing the National Award winning 2018 biographical drama Mahanati. The film is Deepika Padukone and Prabhas’ first collaboration project, and Amitabh Bachchan’s first film after the actress had previously co-starred in the 2015 film Piku.
